SLP 2021: No Sew Scrunchies

 

 

Supplies

Fabric measuring approximately 20" x 4"  --for the summer theme we are totally going to rock the animal print

Elastic

Safety Pin

Hot Glue Gun

Step 1

Add a strip of glue down one of the short edges of your fabric.

Step 2

Fold over your fabric. This clean edge makes it so much smoother in the finished scrunchie.

Step 3

Repeat with the other short edge.

Step 4

Lay out your fabric print side up and fold your fabric in half along the long edge.

Step 5

Begin adding small dots of glue down the long edge, pressing your fabric together as you go.

Step 6

Once your long edge is entirely glued, flip your tube of fabric right-side out.

Step 7

Attach your safety pin to one end of your elastic and thread it through your fabric. I usually pin the elastic together and make certain that I have it at the length I want and then trim off the excess at this point. Then double knot the elastic together.

Step 8

Glue the edges of your fabric together.

And your scrunchie is complete.
