Take & Make: Fall Leaves

We are busy at my library prepping our next Take & Makes for our patrons. This month we are doing Leaf Suncatchers.

Our target age group for this is going to cover all of our PreK through School Age by adapting the extra pieces that we will be including in their bag.

The main craft is simple.

  • Construction Paper
  • Die Cut-Leaf (or a Cricut/Cameo would do the trick)
  • Contact Paper
  • Tissue Paper Square
  • Scissors

From there we cut each sheet of paper into squares. Cut out the leaf shape.

We are pre-cutting sheets of contact paper so they can peel and stick it when ready to go.

Then they add their tissue paper and trim off excess contact paper.

Super simple. And they look amazing in a window!

One additional custom piece for our PreK crowd is a pre-writing exercise in the form of a tracing sheet.
