Are you game?: Well Played

Did you know that next month is a global event celebrating gaming in libraries?

That's right International Games Week is approaching and if you aren't already on the gaming bandwagon might I suggest you hop on....

From board games to video games, the benefits of gaming are well-documented.

My library has had a standing collection of games that circulate for many years and our programming stash of games is in a cupboard that is bursting at the seams.

This brings us to a new series of posts: "Well Played."

Koala Capers by Educational Insights
We love "Koala Capers"! Sturdy enough for your preschoolers, this game gets played a lot during our monthly gaming time at the end of storytime.

Kids roll the die, find the article of clothing and the pattern. Then they look for an outfit that fits. Super simple and super fun!

Here's the quick link to Amazon if you want more details.
