Review: One Last Shot by John David Anderson

I received an ARC from Edelwiess and Walden Pond Press in exchange for my honest review.

One Last Shot by John David Anderson
Publisher: Walden Pond Press
Ages: Upper Elementary
Release Date: 5 May 2020

Malcolm Greeley has a lot going on in his life: a competitive dad, parents who seem to be in constant bicker-mode, and internal voices that seem constantly at odds.

Okay, I'm diving right into my analysis. I am a fan of John David Anderson, so I had very high expectations for this one. And I came out feeling disappointed. I'm going to be a bit of a negative-nellie right now and focus on my issues with the book.

The Voices. It's like part way through the book the voices start to disappear with no explanation. Not that there was much of an explanation for them to start with. I feel like something was really missing there.

Typos. I counted 3 different instances of the word "exclimation". And it is making my brain hurt. I started to question how I was spelling it. I sincerely, sincerely hope this is fixed in the final printing.

That being said, this book will check out. His name being attached to it alone will mean this will find its way into hands.
