Teen Craft: Beaded Bracelet

My next Grab & Go for teens requires such little time for prep and uses supplies that I mostly have ready to go (with the exception of ordering additional cord).

Next up is Beaded Bracelets (or anklets). As always use any info that you need for your library.

Beaded Bracelet/Anklet

Supplies

Cotton Cord

Beads

Button

Ruler

Scissors

Glue

Step 1

Cut about 40” for your cord. You want to be able to wrap it around your wrist a few times.

Step 2

Glue both ends of your cord. This will help prevent them from fraying.

Step 3

Add on 1 bead to start using an overhand knot. Double knot this one.

Step 4

Add your loop and double knot it in place. Make sure that your button fits through the loop snug.

Step 5

Add more beads. I’ve found that double-knotting isn’t essential for these.

Step 6

Add your button and line it up with your loop. Go through two opposite holes on your button and double knot it in place.

You’re all done!
