DIY Stickers

This is one of my core programs. It's always in my back pocket as a possibility when I can't think of what else to do. Here's why: it's cheap, it's fun, it's easy and it's a crowd-pleaser.

Stickers!

Who doesn't love stickers?!

The list of supplies:
Contact Paper
Sharpies
Scissors
Magazines or designs to trace (optional)

Many of these things you probably have laying around your building already, so use it to create a program kits that will work for any age. I, typically, do this as a teen program (because kids and permanent markers), but you can do it for any age. The fact that you use contact paper also makes the stickers reusable.

This also makes a good passive program. Just set up a supply table and let them make what they want.

Preparation:
Gather supplies and pre-cut random sizes of contact paper. Trust me, if you give them a whole roll they will attempt to make outrageously massive stickers and screw up on them and then want to start all over....

From there it is simple. Let them doodle to however they wish (set limits on quantity if you feel the need-I have a time limit---as many as you can make in 30 minutes). Then they can use them in lockers, on notebooks, wherever.

Have fun!
