Summer Watch Party

I have fallen in love with Summer Watch Parties for my teen. They have minimal effort and it really incentives teens returning each week to keep watching together.

This summer we are going to watch Merlin. And I am so friggin' excited!

Why Merlin?

What could be more appropriate this summer then having an awesome fantasy/mythology show about teenagers? Plus it has some awesome snark.

We should get through nearly 2 seasons with my planned schedule. Because most of this program is just an excuse for teens to chill and have snacks it gives us a lot of wiggle room to create structured crafts too. And because the goal is that they come back each week this can also give us the opportunity to introduce multi-step projects. [And having something to watch during dry times is just a nice way to relieve boredom.]

So far it looks like this is when we will be making Dragon Eggs and our Golden Chalices.
