Record Art

Creating artwork from old records is a great way to re-purpose some cheap finds (or free ones). With only a few supplies needed, the versatility of this lends itself to stocking up for this one for the future.

And our space ones for the summer turned out amazing.

 Supplies
Records
Black Paint
Accent Paints
Brushes
Stencils
Mod Podge

Use your black paint to give an all-oever base coat to your record. I used my Apple Barrel Black paint.

After it is dry, I do recommend giving a good coating of Mod Podge so your stencils won't take quite so much paint with them.

Next, grab your stencils and layout your design.

For this summer your LaurDIY Stencils will be your friends. For ours I used Peel & Stick Stencils - Large - Galaxy Gurl and Peel & Stick Stencils - Small - Galaxy Gurl.

Once you have the base paint just add in some extra "stars" aka dots. Super simple and we are really loving the look.
